Description
Gamma Arietis is an easy to medium difficulty double star within the
range of small
telescopes (60mm). With the stars being quite close in brightness
(Alpha Centauri B is the brightest secondary of all double/multiple
stars, although Alpha Crucis B isn't much fainter), a certain amount of
glare makes photos quite difficult.
It is best placed for evening viewing in autumn from the southern
hemisphere and is invisible north of the Tropic of Cancer.
It will split with magnifications in the 40-120x range.
